a. Note:   ck to the old farm. He was dreafted into the army during the CivilWar (1863), and served two years in Company H. of the 19th MaineInfantry. He was wounded October 14, 1863 and was in the hospital. Hewas wounded again October 10, 1864. The 1890 Veterans Census statesone of these wounds was from grape shot across the back. He wastransferred to the 1st Maine Heave Artillery. After the war he cameback and lived on the family farm.
