Jesse Vaughn Crites, 20, of Yoncalla did not respond to efforts to revive him, according to the Douglas County sheriff's office. According to police reports, workers at Holiday Specialties were getting ready to load the trailer and Crites stepped onto the trailer tongue and told the driver of the tractor to proceed. After the rig moved a few feet, other workers called to the driver to stop because Crites had apparently slipped and fallen in front of the trailer.
