Tombstone in Millcreek Cemetery show dates of 1866-1942. Obit. from paper: Mrs. Elizabeth Haylett, 75, widow of Thomas L. Haylett, died at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Haylett, of Frenchcreek Twp., Mercer Co, Carlton, R.D. 1, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Haylett had been in ill health several years. She was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Whitman and was born in Sugarcreek Twp. Mrs. Haylett was well known in Venango County. She and her husband resided on a farm near Utica many years, and for a period of eight years they lived at Polk, where Mr. Haylett was sheriff at the Polk State Training School. During the past five years Mrs. Haylett had resided with her son, Clarence. She was a member of the Reynoldsville Methodist Church. Surviving are her two sons, Clarence and John, of Akron, O., and one brother, Frank Whitman, of Franklin. Funeral services will be held at the Clarence Haylett home at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in the Millcreek Cemetery near Utica.
