Note: Herbert Julius Wulf was born July 20, 1895. He lived his entire life in Chicago. IL. He served in W.W.I. He worked for the Crane Company in their Heating and Air Conditioning division. He worked his way up to Management and retired from the company about 1959. He was a Mason of the 32nd degree. He was a highly intelligent man always interested in current events, and he was interested in politics and kept himself informed on the issues. Herb's wife, Bella MacGregor Sellar, died and left him a widower in 1968. He never remarried, but a long time family friend, Ms. Irma Langford moved in with him and took care of him for the remainder of his life. In the late 70's or early 80's, Herb's brother, Arthur (Art) moved in with Herb and Irma. Art was beginning to suffer from Alzheimer's disease which progressed until he no longer knew anyone. Irma also took care of Art by making sure he was well fed and kept clean. Herb kept his mental facilitied sharp right to the end of his life. He was an avid reader of books. Despite the urging of his daughter, Marilyn, he did not get any exercise, however. If he had, he probably would have lived to reach 100. Herb died Monday, 14 Sep 1992 in Chicago, Il. after an illness of one week. Age 97 yrs, 1 1/2 mos.
