Note: !Thomas Gordon Greenfield was on the 1790 census of Montgomery Co., MD. By 1789 he was in Shelby Co., KY Post Office list. Thomas was in the War of 1812, and he finally setteled down in Todd Co., KY. He left a Todd Co. will proven in 1845. Todd County, Kentucky will of Thomas Gordon Greenfield, son of Walter Smith Greenfield. "The last will and testament of Thos. G. Greenfield written by myself the 25th day of February 1842, in full possession of his right mind. Whereas Wesley Greenfield holds two notes given me are in favor of himself for four hundred and seventy eight dollard and 47 cents, the other in favor of Thos. G. and Wesley Greenfield and Co for four hundred and fifty four dollars and 18 cents, and many other services renderd to me when I lived in Elkton that I never made satisfaction, I hereby bequeath to Wesley Greenfield the herein named property, to wit all my right and interest of six negroes and their increase, if any say Keziah, Jordan, Henry, Samuel, Rebeckah, and Jeremiah, all of the stock of any kind that I may have if any, three bed bedsteads with all the furniture thereto belonging, one gig and harness, one barrow, two tables, one a small one, one clock and sugar(?) chest, with a;; other household and kitchen furniture that has not been mentioned. I likewise give my said son Wesley Greenfield. It's my desire or wish that my faithful wife Elsey Greenfield should she be the longest liver should have the sole control and do with as she pleases during her life, and then be applyde as above names, and should the above named notes be collected previous to my death (to wit) Thomas G. Greenfield and my worthy wife, then this will shall be null and void and of no effect. Otherwise to have full force. It being my last will and singular request. I appoint my son Wesley Greenfield my executor to this my last will and testament. In testamony whereas I put my habd abd seal this date above so written.
