Note: James Cartwright was known to the family as "Daddy James". His wife, Frances Wilson, was known as "Mama Frances". These nicknames were indicative of the love the children had for them. Daddy James was a very kind and loving man who always tried his best to help others, especially when they were in need. In the last couple of years of his life, he became very nostalgic and hoped people would remember him. He had always been an avid duck hunter and fisherman. He greatly missed his days of hunting and fishing. He is buried in Memorial Park cemetery in Memphis Tennessee. He died at the age of 86.
