RESPONSIBLE IN BUILDING THE “CHAIN ACROSS THE HUDSON”-probably not,Capt��s wrong -There were 2 Wm. Young’s living in Dutchess Co., during the Rev. War, the other from Armenia Twp. The other was Capt Wm Young a tanner and tavern owner in Amenia and was in the 6th Regiment, Dutchess Co., NY I have put his tree on my tree. -I think I found our Wm Young’s Rev. War pay records. -Wm. is listed in 3rd Regiment under Land Bounty Rights, his 2 brothers Elkanah & Shaw are also listed in same Regiment, NOT land bounty rights. -wife’s uncle Major Jonathan Paddock was in 3rd Regiment, Dutchess Co Militia -brother Shaw Young’s wifes brother or uncle Thomas Sears a lieut in 3rd Regiment, Dutchess Co -Elkanah Young’s oldest son Ezra named son Thomas Sears Young, after relative from Rev War
