a. Note:   N117 Straus family sources list her date of birth as 08 May 1911; however, theMaine Death Index lists a MATILDA D. THOMPSON, who died on 29 Aug. 1978in Kennebunk, as being 70 years old; this is corroborated by the SocialSecurity Death Index, which lists MATILDA THOMPSON, who died Aug 1978 inKennebunk, as having been born 06 May 1908. ALSO, the Apr. 1930 USFederal Census gives her age as 21, consistent with a birth date of May1908.
